Maintaining Personal Interests

DSC_0095We believe people find purpose through pursuing their interests and aspirations.
We realise that what may seem a small matter to others could be of great importance to the individual. We believe it is important to get to know each person’s cultural, social and spiritual needs. There are opportunities to join in everyday activities such as gardening, preparing meals, baking, laundry, washing up and setting the table. There are also organised artistic activities such as painting, crafts, singing and movement.

Oct 2015 -1Residents are supported to maintain links with local churches, clubs and study groups. Outings, concerts, plays, celebrating birthdays and seasonal festivals, along with other leisure pursuits create an active social calendar.
We often join in festivities with our neighbours in Cairnlee House (a Camphill centre for young adults with learning disabilities) and other Camphill Communities in Aberdeen.
Families and friends are welcome to visit any time and join in Simeon’s rich and varied cultural and social life.11418499_871501802941360_237007992_n
